ZİYA OSMAN SABA İÇİN DRAMATİK BİR OKUMA Bir Empati Denemesi
Ziya Osman Saba, an unfortunate and unhappy man died at an early age had his lyrical poetry published from Varlık. Some of his poems were published from the same editor in 1957 after his death. His poems written after 1953 have lyrical richness due to the death theme. Ziya Osman Saba displays the unbelievable beauty of being alongside death, illness, separation and the unhappiness- there is a dialectic comparison of these features in his exquisite poetry. His short stories entitled Değişen Istanbul and Mesut İnsanlar Fotoğrafhanesi’ were also published from Varlık in two editions. Ziya Osman Saba depicts the beauty of life and the wrath of death through changing scenes from Istanbul in lyrical stories. Tuğrul İnal considers these works in light of the author’s use of language and his lyricism in an intertextual context.
